Summary

Job Title: Accounts Receivable Clerk
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Full Time
Department: Finance
Reports to: Accounting Manager

SUMMARY

The DMC Accounts Receivable Clerk requires a minimum of two years of related experience. This position performs at a high level of productivity and must have extensive knowledge of accounts receivable functions including account reconciliations and invoicing. The position requires full training and familiarity in each normal accounting cycle at DMC. This position requires superior communication skills in relation to co-workers, clients/customers, vendors, management and executives. Accounts Receivable Clerk maintains the current documentation and procedures as requested by the Accounting Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Accounts Receivable tasks including but not limited to:
o Data entry from source documents to complete invoicing
o Supports Customer/client relationships to address all requests for information
o Generate periodic billing of all assigned accounts
o Reconciliation of accounts on a weekly basis including weekly reporting to management
o Analysis and auditing of accounting and other departmental work to ensure accuracy and completeness of billing
o Collection of assigned accounts and weekly reporting updates to management
o Organization and filing of paperwork in SharePoint
o Tasks as required to comply with various regulatory requirements
o Creates invoices according to company practices; submits invoices to customers.
o Drafts correspondence for standard past-due accounts and collections, identifies delinquent accounts by reviewing files, and contacts delinquent accountholders to request payment.
o Assists Accounting Manager in reconciling revenue accounts each month.
o Performs other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or general education degree (GED) and 2 years or more of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have experience with computers, preferably with Microsoft Windows and Excel.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Must have the ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Must have the ability to write simple correspondence. Must have the ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Must have the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts and percentages.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

You will be eligible for the company’s 401(k) plan during the next semi-annual enrollment period following the completion of one (1) year of continuous service. DMC will match 100% of the first 3% and 50% of the next 2%.
